I was drowning in an ocean of video — and couldn't find the single sip of water I needed.

As someone who struggles with mental stamina, I constantly found myself overwhelmed by the sheer flood of streaming video. A simple question — "How do I set up skills in Claude Code?" or "At what point in this calculus course does the professor cover the Mean Value Theorem?" — would force me to sit through 40-minute tutorials or rewatch entire lecture series from start to finish.

Podcasts were no different. To find the one moment where a creator shared their insight on a business model, I'd have to listen to the entire episode. Every time, the same exhausting pattern.

The root cause? Search results can never precisely match the question inside a video. Cultural barriers, commercial incentives, and algorithmic noise conspire to make searching within streaming media feel like finding a needle in the ocean. As the Chinese proverb goes — "Of three thousand streams, I only need one sip" — yet I was drowning before I could find it.

So I built Wisdio — a name born from Wise + Video. A browser extension that helps you understand webpages and YouTube or Bilibili videos, then keep the useful parts as reusable Markdown notes.

Capture in your browser. Keep it in Obsidian.

Wisdio connects web and video research to the Markdown knowledge base you already use.

02

Long-Form Reading

Opened a 30,000-word industry report but don't have time to read it all? Capture the entire page as a "Context Pill" and ask AI: "What are the three core strategies mentioned?" Get the essence in seconds.

03

On-the-Go Learning

On the subway with just your phone? Wisdio's floating widget hovers quietly in the corner. Tap to open a full bottom sheet — read, highlight, ask AI, take notes — all optimized for one-thumb operation.

FAQ

Common questions about Wisdio AI

Is Wisdio free to use?

Yes! Wisdio is completely free. You just provide your own API key from a supported AI provider. DeepSeek, for example, offers very affordable pricing.

Which video platforms are supported?

Subtitle extraction currently supports YouTube and Bilibili only. Other video websites are not supported yet. Webpage capture, AI chat, and notes work on the webpage you choose to analyze.

Can I use it to study foreign language videos?

Absolutely! Wisdio extracts raw subtitles even when the platform doesn't show them. You can send the transcript to AI for translation, summarization, or explanation in your language.

Is my data safe?

Your notes and conversation history are stored locally in your browser. We don't send your data to our servers. AI requests go directly to your chosen provider using your own API key.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes! Wisdio has a dedicated mobile-optimized UI that works on Chromium-based mobile browsers like Kiwi Browser and Lemur. The floating widget design is built for single-hand operation.

Can I export my notes to Obsidian?

Yes. All notes export as pure Markdown files (.md), fully compatible with Obsidian, Notion, Logseq, and any other PKM tool.
